Beirut ...

Wonderful city in a wonderful country, blown to pieces by war and civil war.

There are several huge, empty skyscrapers, scarred by bullet holes and shell bursts.

One of them was the headquarters of the communist (?) soldiers (explanation in Arab). Now, homeless people live there. After bargaining, I paid 5 dollars for a guided tour.
This building is a huge concrete structure that is completely empty. Some corridors and stairways are almost hidden. Fortunately, enough light enters through bullet holes in the walls. There are thousands of rooms, some of which still carry the signature of their last inhabitants.
